Rare and exquisitely carved coconut shell depicting Christian and traditional Indian subject matter. In excellent condition for it’s advanced age. Base on the graphics, this has been judged to be an 18th C item, most likely done in the city of Goa, or thereabouts, where there was a large Portuguese community dating to the 16th C. 4.5” x 6”.
